Second Life hat jetzt 10 Millionen registrierte Benutzer, davon sind in Spitzenzeiten bis zu 50.000 gleichzeitig online. Vor ca. 1 Jahr war es noch ein Meilenstein, dass 20.000 Benutzer online waren – was das System kaum verkraftete. Insofern hat sich doch alles gut entwickelt.
Bugs gehören allerdings nach wie vor dazu. Für das nervige “(waiting)” beim Öffnen der Contacts gibt es offenbar einen Workaround, den Stef Wade beschreibt: einfach dem “(waiting)”-Eintrag Rechte erteilen und anschließend wieder entziehen.

Das CCC füllt sich
Oliver Gassners Vortrag ist gut, vor allem da, wo er vom Skript abgelenkt wird und einfach drauflos redet. ;-) Man merkt, dass er GTD “lebt”.

Metanomics-Vortrag im CCC: PlugIn geht nicht
Ich bin mal wieder im CCC, um den Metanomics-Vortrag mitzuverfolgen, der per Videostream gefliefert wird. Leider scheint mein Quicktime-PlugIn nicht zu funktionieren – es kommt kein Stream bei mir an. Stattdessen freue ich mich, dass auf einem der Bilder im Auditorium vom frühen CCC ich mit dabei bin. Ist ja auch etwas :-)
